This has to be the finest mohair yarn I've ever worked with - amazing colorway, fantastic spinning and winding into a smooth and easy to use skein, and simply amazing when knitted, even using a simple stockinette stitch cowl pattern - feather-weight, incredibly soft, lovely texture and stitch definition, and simply beautiful!
Both the "Emberlight" and "Fallen Oak" colors are just lovely - they're wonderful for lace projects!
I haven't started using this yarn yet, but it's in line for a cowl-making project to donate to a local hospital's nursing staff in their IV Infusion Center, where my husband receives anti-rejection medications for his kidney transplant - nothing but the best yarns will work for these hard-working, caring nurses who help keep so many patients alive with critical medications! And, Embry fibers are just superb - who needs any other yarns in life but ones that are locally-sourced, beautifully-spun, and with such amazing hand-dyed colorways!
This soft sock yarn is soft with a nice bounce and twist. The colors are vibrant! Golden Chanterelle is my favorite so far. I immediately ordered three more skeins and a sweater quanity of worsted weight! Shipping is prompt and the owner is so friendly and helpful! Very happy to be in the monthly club!
Gorgeous yarn and colorway - the pattern from "Arctic Knits" from Lapland looks best in the alpaca called for in the pattern, but the Embry Soft made for a beautiful and soft cowl that shows the stitch pattern much better than alpaca would have...thank you!
I made a lace cowl from the "Arctic Knits" book from Lapland, using Embry Sport in the Silver Spruce colorway, so wanted to try a 2nd version with a more bright colorway - I love how it's turning out!
This one is even prettier than the picture. Can't wait to start knitting with it!
I got Acorn Harvest as a neutral to pair with Mt. Hamilton (brown). It almost has a faint dusty pink hue, and I love it paired with the brown.
My husband's favorite color so far - it's waiting in line to be made into a lace cowl!
